Gondo is accessible from the north over the Simplon Pass. The Simplon Pass (2.005 m) is open all year long. Driving times are 3 hours from Geneva, 3.5 hours from Zurich and 45 minutes from Brig.
From the South it is very easy, being close to the main urban areas of the Italian Piedmont and Lombardy: in a little more than an hour from Milan it is the first village in Switzerland after the Italian border.
By Public Transport
The quickest way from North to South is the Simplon tunnel, the cross-border railway line celebrated 100 years in 2006. In just 20 minutes the train travels from Brig to Iselle. From Iselle you can reach Gondo in a few minutes national post or public shuttles.
A wonderful experience is also the trip with the bus from Brig across the Simplon. During the 1-hour journey passengers will enjoy a unique view, the Pass offering a varied natural landscape.
